Mathias and mom went into South Bend in August to meet up with the Fahey ladies (James’ mom’s family). Mathias spent the day in grandma’s arms while the women looked through the finest fashions of the 1970s.

Grandma ended up watching Mathias that night–his first night away from mom–as Lori and Aunt Sara went up to Michigan for a friend’s party. (Dad was going to a Cubs game.) They had lots of fun. When Lori came back, everyone but grandma was taking a little nap.
