After a good stretch of visiting Florida for turkey day, we decided to stay in Chicago for Thanksgiving this year. But we still had plenty of family fun, as Lori’s family came in to visit us!
Despite the wall of fog that descended on the city Wednesday morning, everyone made it in (although Lori’s parents landed about 10 hours later than they expected to). We were able to meet Dave’s lovely new wife Josselyn on Wednesday, which was fun.
Thursday was the big meal, which Lori spent hours making delicious. Her grandmother and Aunt Jeanette were able to join us some in the morning, which gave us four generations of Sichtermanns in one room.

Everyone’s there! Well, except Lillian, who’s snoozing on the floor.

Lori’s brother helped with the stuffing.
Friday the Sichtermanns had lunch at the Walnut Room at Macy’s. (James, accurately gauging his tolerance for Black Friday in the Loop, decided to sit that one out.) All in all, it was a great time!

Mathias didn’t have much attention for the fairy roaming the Walnut Room.
