So while Lori heading to Starbucks to get some writing done, Mathias and I bundled up and headed to a nearby forest preserve.<\/p>\n<p>He seemed to like it&#8211;he picked up sticks (some big ones, as you can see here), stomped in the mud, threw about 90 rocks from the pathway, and clambered over a few old, mossy stumps. I also spotted a woodpecker, which provided a welcome brush with nature.
